Discover 3 Olives Pizza & Deli

If you’ve ever driven past 3 Olives Pizza & Deli at 10515 Cleveland Rd, Garner, NC 27529, United States, you might assume it’s just another neighborhood pizza joint. I thought the same the first time. But after several visits-both dine-in and takeout-I can say this local spot delivers more than convenience. It’s the kind of place where the staff remembers repeat customers, the dough is made fresh daily, and the menu stretches comfortably from classic New York-style slices to hearty deli sandwiches and Italian favorites.

On my most recent visit, I ordered a large pepperoni pizza and a Philly cheesesteak sub. The pizza arrived with a crisp yet foldable crust, bubbling mozzarella, and just the right balance of tangy tomato sauce. According to the National Restaurant Association, pizza remains one of the most ordered comfort foods in the United States, and consistency is what separates good from great. Here, the consistency stands out. I’ve ordered the same pie three different times over the past few months, and the texture and flavor have been remarkably steady each time-a sign that the kitchen follows a clear preparation process rather than guessing their way through service.

The deli side of the menu deserves just as much attention. Their subs are generously portioned, layered with fresh lettuce, tomatoes, and quality meats. The Philly cheesesteak, for example, is grilled to order. You can actually see the cooks working the flat-top behind the counter, which adds a layer of transparency I appreciate. Food safety and preparation standards matter, and organizations like the FDA emphasize proper temperature control for meats and dairy. Watching the team handle ingredients carefully and maintain a clean prep area builds trust in a way that glossy marketing never could.

Beyond pizza and subs, the menu features wings, pasta dishes like baked ziti and lasagna, salads, and even Mediterranean-inspired options. That range makes it a reliable choice whether you’re planning a casual family dinner or grabbing a quick lunch between errands. I once stopped in with a group of five after a youth soccer game nearby. Everyone ordered something different-cheese pizza, chicken wings, a Greek salad, spaghetti with meatballs-and not one plate went back unfinished. That kind of broad appeal says a lot about a kitchen’s versatility.

Online reviews echo similar experiences. Many customers mention friendly service and generous portions, and I’ve noticed the same. On busy Friday nights, the dining area fills up quickly, but the staff manages the flow efficiently. Orders are called out clearly, tables are wiped down promptly, and takeout customers aren’t left waiting too long. In the restaurant industry, speed without sacrificing quality is a delicate balance. According to hospitality management studies, customer satisfaction often hinges on perceived wait time rather than actual minutes spent waiting. Here, the upbeat atmosphere and visible activity behind the counter make any short wait feel reasonable.

Location also plays a role. Being situated on Cleveland Road in Garner makes it accessible for both locals and visitors passing through the area. Parking is straightforward, and the interior is casual and welcoming-simple tables, bright lighting, and the comforting aroma of baking dough. It’s not trying to be a high-end trattoria, and that’s part of its charm. Instead, it focuses on delivering reliable, satisfying food in a relaxed diner-style setting.

Nutritionally speaking, pizza and deli fare aren’t typically considered light meals, but balance is possible. The availability of salads, grilled chicken options, and customizable toppings allows diners to tailor their meals. I’ve personally swapped traditional crust for a thinner option and added vegetable toppings like spinach and mushrooms, which made the meal feel less indulgent while still flavorful.

If there’s any limitation, it’s that peak hours can get busy, especially on weekends. Calling ahead for takeout helps, and the staff is upfront about estimated wait times, which I appreciate. Transparency goes a long way in building customer trust.

From fresh ingredients and careful preparation to friendly service and a diverse menu, this Garner favorite proves that a local pizzeria and deli can compete with larger chains by focusing on quality and community. Whether you’re craving a classic slice, a stacked sub, or a plate of baked pasta, this spot delivers dependable flavor in a setting that feels genuinely welcoming.

  • Good good! Called in a order for 2 pizza’s. Came within a hour and was hot and fresh. I wish the dough was a little more cooked. The person on phone and delivery was polite and precise. I would definitely order from here again but it is on the pricy side compared to other pizza places

  • Pizza has great flavor but the dough is too soft and chewy. It’s missing that slight crisp I look for that complements the chewy when it comes to this style of pizza. However we still love it as well as the boneless wings, cheese bread and garlic knots.

  • Not a bad eggplant parmesan sub, the bread was decent and the eggplant parmesan was fried pretty well. I was expecting a lot less being from New York City I'm very picky about my Italian food. I'm looking forward to trying other dishes here. The prices were also pretty reasonable.

  • Excellent prices. Love their pizza, spaghetti, jalapeño poppers and subs. Update: November 16,2020 Went there for lunch today. Got my husband a meatball sub and myself a chicken parm sub. Was so delicious and so many toppings to choose from. But the most incredible part - THEY ALL HAD MASKS ON!!! This seems like not a big thing because we all do it. Wrong!! I’ve been to so many restaurants lately where servers, bartenders, etc. don’t wear masks. And frankly pisses me off they put signs up demanding we wear masks but can’t respect us back and they’re handling our food. But 3 Olives all masked up. So thank you guys!!! Go there people. They respect you enough to wear a mask while making your food AND the food is awesome. December 13,2020 Went tonight for takeout. Seven employees working and all had their masks on! These are the places I keep coming back to. Ones that respect themselves and their customers to wear a mask. I ordered two meatballs subs, bbq boneless wings and onion rings. Everything was great as always. Love their subs. So far chicken parm has been my favorite but I want to try them all! December 19,2020 This time we had it delivered. Grubhub did a great job. So, I went back to my favorite- chicken Parmesan sub. My husband got the same but he thinks the meatball is better. We also got my grandson spaghetti. It came with garlic bread and a side salad. Delicious as always!! January 30, 2021 So I ordered dinner here tonight but ( wait for it)...I called the wrong damn store! Lol! I go to pickup my order me obviously wasn’t there. Gentleman was nice and patient with me and came to conclusion I called the clayton location. They were very nice and remade my order! So we had two supreme calzones and a meatball sub. It was very good. I did however read on the menu the calzone was ricotta cheese and these were made with mozzarella. Was still very good just the mozzarella didn’t quite melt all the way. So it was pretty thick and chewy not ooey gooey. My husband always gets meatball sub so he loved that. My first time getting a calzone there. I probably wouldn’t again. Only because I think the subs are much better than that was. Still great place. Awesome employees. Awesome food.

  • I have to say, the pizza was pretty good! I do wish the crust was a little crisper. I like some crunch on my think crust pizzas. I decided to give this place a try because I wanted to try someplace local other than dominos or papa John's. Definitely a tasty pizza! The pizza was loaded (as you can see) and they didn't skimp on the ingredients. The sauce had some nice flavor and the little sprinkle of parmesan on top was perfect. The garlic knots had plenty of flavor and the marinara dipping sauce that came with it complimented them perfectly. They weren't kidding in their description of the garlic knots that they were delicious! Not a bad place to grab a pizza. I can't wait to give their other menu options a try!

  • Everything was very delicious! I was waiting on something like this! They have good maid Kazakhs food which is close to Russian. Those, who from ex USSR and home sick, you have to try it!
